He’s an engineer. She’s a doctor. Even before they started work, it was in their nature to be methodical, precise, and pay close attention to detail. They’ve always loved to travel, but have never liked mass tourism – all the same experiences, soulless offerings. In Sardinia, too often, something was missing. Something new. Authentic.
Where it all began
One day, at sunset, they were sitting on the beach, eating a sandwich. Before them the sea, the silence, that light that seems to last longer in Sardinia. A VW Beetle arrived, stopping a few metres from the water. The boys got out, put up their tent, and slept right there, by the sea.
At that moment, everything changed.
“We should do that, too.”
But they soon realised that this wasn’t enough. A tent is only good in summer, and they wanted something suitable for all seasons. And above all, something was missing …
Because loving nature doesn’t mean you have go without mod cons.
Seeking adventure doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice comfort.
Vanthura today
While looking for an alternative that combined design and functionality, they discovered a Spanish company created in the post-Covid era, Nomade Nation. Their vans didn’t look like camper vans. They looked like hotel suites on four wheels.
That is where Vanthura was truly born.
